State Broadband

Federal, state, and local governments play a critical role in supporting broadband availability, which allows communities to connect and thrive. In today’s fast-paced and technology-driven world, wireless connectivity is increasingly essential and should be available in every community across the country.

Our Role in Broadband Deployment

Communities need adequate connectivity, which is why it’s critical to deploy networks as soon as possible, especially with the current availability of government funds and grants. Our mission is to help customers deploy communications networks of all types on time and on budget, so Americans can work and attend school remotely, receive telemedicine services, connect with family and friends, and much more.

Our towers provide a shared infrastructure, which reduces the need to build new telecommunications sites. Multiple communications providers can collocate by installing antennas on an existing tower, rather than constructing a new one. This avoids unnecessary proliferation in the local landscape. No matter where your community is in the technology infrastructure journey, we’re here to help.

Broadband Industry Challenges

There are a variety of infrastructure options available to solve network challenges, including macro sites, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). When considering options, fiber is integral to all broadband networks, but fiber alone can only take you so far. A hybrid network solution, including fiber and FWA, gives counties the ability to serve high-need areas.

The Right Technology

A fiber-only deployment will take years. A hybrid network solution, including fiber and FWA, is an alternative option that brings accelerated internet availability. Utilizing FWA in rural, hard-to-reach areas can deliver internet service to citizens faster.
