Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan Is Outfitted With Trailblazing Communications Network
American Tower’s relationship with the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center started in 2012, when it built a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) for the center in preparation for the 2013 New York ComicCon. During the center’s 2021 expansion project, our partnership expanded the existing DAS to cover the center’s 1.2 million square feet of new event space, 200,000 square feet of new meeting space, and a truck marshaling area that accommodates 40 queueing trucks. With nearly 25 miles of cables and hundreds of antennas, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center boasts one of the largest indoor networks in the U.S.
