Health Insurance Coverage

Machine-readable files are available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and include negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Account (HSA)
The Healthcare and Dependent Care FSAs allow employees to use pretax dollars for both qualifying healthcare expenses and qualifying daycare and elder care expenses. The HSA allows employees participating in the HDHP medical plan to use pretax dollars for qualifying healthcare expenses.

Retirement Savings Plan: 401(k)

Work and Life
Paid Time Off
Employees accrue paid “flextime,” which can be used for vacation, sick, or personal days. We recognize our employees are diverse and may celebrate holidays other than our Company holidays, so we provide three floating holidays as well. Additional flextime is also provided for volunteer days and school visitation/elder care.
Parental Leave
Eligible employees receive eight weeks paid time off at 100 percent of pay following the birth or adoption of a child. Birth mothers receive an additional six or eight weeks paid disability leave.
Adoption and Surrogacy Assistance
Employees who adopt children can receive up to a $10,000 reimbursement for eligible expenses. Employees using a surrogate may be eligible for a $20,000 surrogacy benefit.
Educational Assistance
Employees can receive reimbursement annually for work-related courses, including those part of a work-related degree program.
Wellness Reimbursement Program
Wellness expenses, such as health club memberships, weight loss programs, and fitness equipment purchases, are eligible for reimbursement for both our employees and their dependents.
Wellness Incentive Program

Life and Disability Insurance and Other Insurances
Basic Life, AD&D and Disability Insurance
American Tower offers Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance equal to two times an employee’s annual salary at no cost from the first day of employment. Employees also can purchase additional life insurance for themselves and their dependents.
Short-term disability insurance is available to provide up to 180 days of income protection if an employee is unable to work. Long-term disability insurance can provide income protection for employees who are approved for disability and have exhausted short-term disability benefits.
Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Insurance
American Tower offers employees the opportunity to purchase, at their own expense, benefits that can help fill potential gaps caused by illness or injury for them and their dependents. Critical Illness pays money to the employee directly, if they are diagnosed with a covered critical illness. Accident insurance pays a set cash benefit amount based on the type of injury. Hospital insurance can pay benefits that help with the cost of a covered hospital visit.
