Promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

We value diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and aim to embed it throughout all aspects of our business. We hold each other accountable to encourage and embrace our collective differences. It is our individual characteristics, values, beliefs, backgrounds and experiences that give us fresh perspectives and purpose. Our success comes from many different people working together toward common goals. Our inclusive philosophy guides how we interact with each other, hire and manage our people and serve our customers.  Every voice at American Tower counts.

Advancing Our
DEI Commitment

Our commitment to DEI is reinforced through our Diversity Statement, our CEO’s Action for Diversity and Inclusion Pledge, our Global Human Rights Statement and the ongoing efforts of our global DEI Councils to identify and prioritize DEI strategies and ensure accountability.

Diversity

Guided by Firm Beliefs

Respect and inclusion are the foundation of the American Tower culture. Diversity provides a strategic advantage—it infuses fresh ideas into the business and helps us remain connected to our customers in a dynamic global market. Further, it enables us to leverage local talent across our global footprint. This helps us to relate to, understand and therefore better serve the communities where we do business. With a diverse employee and customer base, a steadfast commitment to DEI is a critical factor in our success.

We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to a diverse workforce. We adhere to a policy of equal employment and will not discriminate against an applicant or associate based on his or her age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, color, creed, religion, national origin or ancestry, citizenship, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disability, handicap, military or veteran status, genetic information, pregnancy or any other category protected under federal, state or local law, regulation or ordinance.

To ensure reasonable accommodation for individuals protected by Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Vietnam Veterans' Readjustment Act of 1974, and Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, applicants who require accommodation in the job application process can contact us at 617-587-7911 for assistance.

Demonstrating a commitment to fair pay.
We define pay parity as ensuring employees in the same job and location are paid fairly, relative to one another, regardless of their gender or ethnicity. Women in the U.S. and globally earn $1 for every $1 men earn, and underrepresented minorities in the U.S. earn 99 cents to the dollar compared to non-minorities, adjusting for job and geography. For this analysis, pay included base pay, bonus and equity.
